COVID-19 Coronavirus. We are all in this together - Keep Calm and Hort-On!
Given the ever changing situation with the COVID-19 coronavirus we wanted to let you know how Horton SKODA and SEAT are responding and to reassure you that we have plans in place to ensure we remain open and continue to provide you with a great service during this challenging time for us all.
Keeping Staff and Customers Safe
The health and wellbeing of our staff and our customers is our biggest priority. We are closely following the advice of Public Health England and the World Health Organisation and have already introduced a variety of measures to minimise any impacts to the continuation of our service, which we will continually review as the situation changes.
All staff are receiving ongoing briefings and enhanced operating protocols. We have clear policies and procedures in place to ensure that any of our staff who show even mild symptoms have been advised to follow the government advice surrounding self-isolation and to contact NHS 111. We are also ensuring that these staff are supported during these times and will make individual arrangements with them wherever possible.
We have increased the frequency of cleaning our public areas and all demonstrator, courtesy cars and display vehicles will be fully sanitized after each use.
We will ensure that if your vehicle is left with us for service or warranty work, it is fully sanitized before it is returned.
We have increased the deployment of hand sanitisers for both customers and colleagues.
Business As Usual – With a Few Tweaks!
‘No Contact’ Facilities for All Departments
We understand that some of our customers may have concerns about visiting our dealerships at this time.
To help anyone who is self-isolating, caring for others, looking after kids off school, maybe NHS Staff or just doesn’t want to leave the comfort and safety of their own home – we will come to you.
We have developed a range of services to mitigate any one to one contact during this time.
Service & MOT – Full ‘No Contact’ Facility Available
We have increased the capacity of our collection and delivery team and we have developed a full ‘no contact’ process so that booking a service, reporting what we have done, payment and all communications can be done by phone, video, e-mail or SMS and we will return your car to you, fully sanisited with the keys left in a sterile bag, dropped through your letterbox.
Vehicle Delivery – Full ‘No Contact’ Facility Available
If you have a car on order with us and are concerned about collection – we are able to offer delivery to you, discuss and complete all the paperwork by phone, video, e-mail or SMS and we can cover the finer points of the controls through explainer videos and we can then also arrange to visit the dealership at a later date to answer questions you have face to face.
Vehicle Sales – Full ‘No Contact’ Facility Available
100% on-line vehicle sales are available. We can connect via live video chat, send you a car to your home fully sanitized to test drive and then collect later, then complete all negotiations and paperwork by phone, video, e-mail or SMS.
Parts and Accessory Sales - Full ‘No Contact’ Facility Available
Visit our online shops – www.theskodashop.co.uk or www.seatpartsshop.co.uk for 100% online transactions, or just call a member of the SKODA team on 01522 508650 and SEAT team on 01522 684013.
With over 65 years of history, at Hortons we are determined to ensure that in these uncertain times, we continue to provide our customers with the levels of service they have come to expect and even more to ensure we all get through this together!
Most importantly, I wish all of our customers, colleagues and their families well.
